Detect faces privately
Choose a photo and Maskr locates faces using technology built into your Apple device. Detection is not identification.
Private photo masking
Maskr detects faces on your device and gives you a fast, focused way to blur or pixelate them—without face recognition or a developer-operated media server.
Simple by design
Maskr keeps the workflow clear, so you can focus on who should—or should not—be visible.

Select the faces you want to protect, choose a masking style, and fine-tune the result.
Reopen editable projects, change your selections, revert to the original, and save a fresh copy.
Part of your workflow
Import from your library and save the protected result as a new copy.
Send supported photos to Maskr directly from compatible apps.
Start supported Maskr workflows from Shortcuts and system controls.
Privacy by design
Maskr finds where a face appears in a photo. It does not determine who that person is, create biometric identities, or track people across photos.
Editing happens on-device. iCloud Sync is off by default. If you enable it in Library, Maskr can sync original photos, edited copies, and face-area information to your private iCloud account.
